Short-term vs long-term counselling
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling.
Short-term counselling typically focuses on a specific goal, challenge, or area of stress. This approach is often structured and time-limited, and is ideal for:
Making a decision or navigating a life transition
Addressing communication breakdowns in a relationship
Managing situational anxiety or stress
Creating strategies and tools to cope with an immediate issue
Long-term counselling is more open-ended and in depth. It supports you over time as you:
Explore past experiences, emotional patterns, or attachment wounds
Work with chronic issues like burnout, trauma, or self-worth
Deepen your relationship with yourself and others
Grow through life stages, personal evolution, or spiritual inquiry
Both approaches are valuable. Some people find that one or two sessions may be enough to help them clarify specific questions. Others, with more complex issues or long lasting emotional pain, may benefit from longer term counselling. You are free to stop counselling at any time. My goal as a counsellor is to help people reach a place where they do not need counselling anymore.

Questions about rates & payments

If you need to cancel or reschedule our session, I ask that you provide a minimum of 24-hours notice.
In the case of a no-show, 100% of the session will be charged to the credit card on file.

Counselling sessions are not covered under the provincial healthcare plan (MSP) however, if you have extended health benefits, your appointments may be covered. Please check with your provider to ensure you are covered for services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor prior to booking. After our session, I can give you a receipt with my registration number to submit for reimbursement.

Yes, at this time I only offer direct billing through Pacific Blue Cross.

I accept e-transfers to hello@4seasonscounselling.com, as well as Visa, Mastercard and Amex through my online booking system.

At this time, sessions are available virtually only. You can expect to receive a link to our virtual meeting room 30 minutes prior to our scheduled session.
